The exterior surface exposes the natural grain pattern and texture of the wood material, maintaining a matte finish without heavy synthetic varnishes. Strips of wood are joined together at precise ninety-degree angles to construct the open-frame geometric cage. This slatted construction method leaves large apertures between each wooden lath, allowing light to emit directly outward in all horizontal directions rather than being blocked by a solid shade.

Inside the central cavity of the wooden enclosure, a single lamp holder is securely mounted to accept standard bulb bases. The internal wiring routes upward through the top center point of the frame, connecting to a suspension cord that supports the weight of the 0.40-kilogram fixture.
